Our Methodology

How We Approach Each Matter

Every engagement at Rattana Counsel begins with a substantive intake conversation. We do not move directly from enquiry to document. Before any work is commissioned, we want to understand the client's situation clearly — the extent of the estate, the family circumstances, any previous arrangements, and the client's intentions.

This approach takes slightly longer than filling in a form and receiving a template. We consider that a reasonable trade for work that is properly adapted to the client's actual situation rather than the most common case.

Once a matter is underway, all draft documents are reviewed by a second qualified member of the team before being presented to the client. For complex matters, we provide regular written updates on progress and flag any issues that emerge during the work.

Fee arrangements are confirmed in writing before work begins, with a clear statement of what is and is not included. Any change in scope during the engagement is discussed with the client before additional work is undertaken.
